Birthday Metrics!!
Whilst birthdays are a celebration of life, or at least a chance to be spoiled for a day (or in some cases a little longer), I’ve never been really bothered by celebrating them. That is until now! On the 30th March (a date for your diary for future reference) I actually celebrated my 50th year on this planet. Interestingly as the birthday approached, as day by day I approached the big 5 0 I started to reflect and it occurred to me that your birthday can be a great personal metric.
There two aspects to this very simple metric, one how far we have come and secondly how long have we to go. Yes, that’s right, how long have you left. One thing that is clear and that is whilst you are here on this planet each year you will have a birthday and that means 12 months have elapsed since your last one. That’s ok because we never really look at how many we have remaining, do we?
