YESS Business Basics

Young Entrepreneur Smart Start, or simply YESS, allows children and young adults from 12 – 22 access to the FREE Young Entrepreneurial Business Basics course. Business Basics is a free online resource and community for business education for young budding entrepreneurs. The introductory course is designed to be completed by its students in 12 weeks or less. Group or cohort classes begin each month. The program features online videos, assignments and exams to test your retention and bi-weekly Zoom calls with an ActionCOACH instructor for additional support. Major assignments–Vision Board, Business Plan and a Video Pitch–help students prepare for the real world. Each week of the program features a special mindset and business-related themes.

The 12-Week Syllabus

Here’s the outline of the 12 week’s syllabus:

Week 1 & 2 – Getting the right mindset. Understanding what makes you tick and challenging you to think big and step outside your comfort zone.

 

 

Week 3 – Are you ready to be an entrepreneur? Understanding what it is to be an entrepreneur and how to become one.

 

 

Week 4 – Making your dreams come true. No holding back, in life you can strive to be what you want and so understanding dreams come true when you work hard towards them.

 

Week 5 – Wealth creation. Understanding how money works and how young entrepreneurs can create wealth through developing that understanding.

 

 

Week 6 – Mastering massive growth. Understanding how to leverage and scale business opportunities.

 

 

Week 7 – Creating raving fans. Understanding that in business building reputation and relationships with your customers will result in raving fans who will want to refer to you even more business.

 

Week 8 – Introduction to the 5 ways model. Understand how you can develop a sales and marketing process which will offer great growth to your business.

 

 

Week 9 – Leadership. Learn how to develop and become a great leader.

 

 

Weeks 10 – 12 – The development of your business idea, and submission of your 3 assignments; your vision board, your business plan and your video pitch.
